On 12 December 2026, INDIE RUNNER takes you through Amsterdam Light Festival for a 6–8 km run with a little more magic along the way. A city full of light, a small crew to share it with, and a well-earned drink at the finish.
More than a route
Together with Amsterdam Light Festival, we are creating a whole experience. Think performances, stories behind the artworks and moments to stop and take it all in. We run, discover and enjoy the night together. The full programme will follow.
Included in your entry
A 6–8 km running experience through Amsterdam Light Festival.
A long sleeve to take home.
A pace group of no more than 20 runners.
Extra experiences along the route, created together with Amsterdam Light Festival.
A post-run get-together, with your first drink and a snack on us.
Your pace. Your people.
Select your pace group when you sign up. Each group has a maximum of 20 runners and stays together from start to finish, including the stops along the way. Pick a pace that feels comfortable, so you can enjoy the experience and the company.
This is a social run, not a race. Choose the pace group that suits you during registration.
Bring your own glow
A light is required for the run. And you are welcome to go all out: fairy lights, glowing accessories, an illuminated outfit — make yourself part of the festival.
The best illuminated outfit wins four tickets for a canal cruise through Amsterdam Light Festival. Bring your brightest idea.
The finish is just the start
After the run, stay for a drink, a snack and a chat with your fellow runners. Your first drink and a snack are included. A good reason to keep the evening going.
